Both the Art and Design GCSE and A Level at Brasspoint are 2 year courses with one 2 hour class each week. Each term there is a gallery visits to support ongoing projects.

Students are introduced to a range of fine art, illustration, design and photographic skills that are underpinned by a focus on the development of an individual visual language.

We are also preparing an A Level Art and Design course for adults - please call for information.

Classes are on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with set projects that give young artists an opportunity to experiment with a range of materials and methods.

This introduction to fashion will run across the Summer and Autumn term 2019.

In this first course students will learn how to design a garment, hand and machine sewing skills, pattern cutting, how to produce style boards to support the desing process and will be introduced to fashion illustration and textile printing.

The autumn term adult workshops wil be a combination of ceramics and painting with acrylics and oils

CERAMICS: artists will learn a range of making, mark making, colour work and firing techniques in the production of their pots.

PAINTING: artists will consider the local landscape as inspiration for informing the development of composition and painting skills.
